Red Stakes
Lateral Hazard
Options and Penalty:
1. Play the ball as it lies, player may not ground club. - No Penalty
2. Replay from original shot location. - 1 stroke
3. Drop a ball as far back as desired on a line from the hole through the point the ball last crossed the edge of the hazard. - 1 stroke
4. Drop a ball within two club lengths from point of entry, no nearer to the hole. 1 stroke
5. Drop a ball within two club lengths on opposite side of the hazard, equal distance from the hole. - 1 stroke

White Stakes
Out of Bounds
Options and Penalty:
1. Replay from original shot location (stroke and distance). - 1 stroke
* To help with pace of play, player may play a provisional ball when he/she suspects that original ball may be lost outside of a hazard. Player must announce intention to do so. If original ball is found, and it is in play, the player must abandon the provisional ball. There is not penalty for hitting a provisional ball if the original ball is found in play.
Options and Penalty:
1. Replay from original shot location (stroke and distance). - 1 stroke
* To help with pace of play, player may play a provisional ball when he/she suspects that original ball may be lost outside of a hazard. Player must announce intention to do so. Unplayable Lie
Options and Penalty:
1. Replay from original shot location - 1 stroke
2. Drop a ball behind the point where the ball lies, keeping that point directly between the hole and the spot at which the ball is dropped. - 1 stroke
3. Drop a ball within 2 club lengths of the spot where the ball lies, no nearer to the hole. - 1 stroke

Obstruction
Artificial Object
Options and Penalty:
1. If the obstruction is movable, player may move it. - No Penalty
2. If the obstruction is immovable (for example, cart path) and is interfering with stance of swing, player may locate the nearest point of relief and drop ball within 1 club lenght, no nearer to the hole.
* If the ball is in a bunker, player must drop within the bunker.
* When taking relief from cart path, player must take complete relief.
* Objects defining out-of-bounds such as white stakes or fence postes are not considered obstructions and no relief can be granted.
